Banana Bread

A Delicious Twist to a Classic Treat

Makes one loaf

Banana bread is a timeless comfort food loved by many. It's a go-to treat for breakfast or a sweet snack in our house. While traditionally baked in an oven, the air fryer is our go to.




Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup sofend butter

  • 1 egg betten

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Begin by preheating your air fryer to 300°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes. Grease a small loaf pan that fits inside your air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil and set it aside.

  2. Prepare the Banana Mixture: In a mixing bowl, Add the butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all ingredients are combined. Then add your egg mix agian then add your mashed bannans, Mix until smooth.

  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon (if using). Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine. If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor.

  4. Pour Batter into the Loaf Pan: Pour the banana bread batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.

  5. Air Fry the Banana Bread: Carefully place the filled loaf pan into the preheated air fryer basket. Set the air fryer temperature to 300°F (160°C) and cook the banana bread for 40 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the bread—if it comes out clean, the bread is ready.

  6. Cool and Serve: Once the banana bread is cooked through, carefully remove the loaf pan from the air fryer using oven mitts or tongs. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve the delicious air fryer banana bread on its own or with a dollop of butter. I like eating it hot and so does my family so you can try that too.

Tips:

  • Adjust the sweetness according to your preference by reducing or increasing the amount of sugar. (if your bannas are reaaly ripe go down in sugar)

  • Experiment with additional mix-ins such as shredded coconut, dried fruits, or seeds for a personalized touch.

  • Ensure your air fryer is preheated for optimal results and even cooking.
