Why Christmas Crack Makes a Great Gift

  1. Easy to Customize: Personalize your Christmas Crack by using different toppings like crushed candy canes, colorful sprinkles, chopped nuts, or even a sprinkle of sea salt for a gourmet touch.

  2. Perfect for Sharing: The recipe yields a generous batch, making it perfect for dividing into individual portions or packaging in festive tins or bags to share with multiple friends.

  3. Homemade Touch: Gifting something homemade conveys thoughtfulness and care. Your friends will appreciate the effort and love you put into creating this delicious treat just for them.

  4. Irresistible Flavor: The combination of sweet caramel, and the crunch of cereal creates an addictive taste that is sure to please anyone's sweet tooth.

Directions:

  1. Spray a LARGE (the biggest you can find) bowl with nonstick cooking spray.

  1. Pour cereal and coconut in a bowl Gently mix together.

  2. Mix together the sugar, butter, light corn syrup, and dash of salt in a medium saucepan over high heat.

  3. Bring to a full boil, turn heat down to medium, and cook for three minutes, stirring constantly. Add vanilla

  4. Pour over the cereal mixture in the big bowl and stir evenly, or shake with lid on.

  5. Spread cereal evenly on wax paper (I just spread the wax paper on my counter) add addtional toppings and let cool.

  6. Once it cools, you can bag it up in little cellophane bags and share with neighbors and friends. Or put it in a bowl and dig in (I love when it’s WARM).

  7. You can also store it in an airtight container or Ziploc bag and it lasts for a couple of days.
